My collection of domestic ware combines contemporary design with traditional processes and materials. Made from locally sourced stoneware clay, they are functional pots with a sense of vitality and generosity, a bold simplicity of form and my distinctive soda-fired surfaces. The colour ranges from matte black and granite grey to deep golden yellows reflecting the tones and textures of the Cornish landscape, and is glazed in the blacks, browns and greys of granite and the titanium yellow of gorse. Each one is unique; richly marked by the flame and soda in the kiln.

All work is hand thrown soda fired stoneware.

“I live with ceramic vessels. Their forms and volume, edges and textures, spill from the studio into every room in the house. Displayed on ledges, windowsills and mantlepieces, they create an intervention with domestic space and daily life. My way of life and work is inseparable. In these living spaces my pots speak for themselves.”
