My way of seeing is shaped by the feel of places, of landscapes and colours that change with the shifting light. Textures and marks layered over time by weather or formed with tools and graft.  I think about my way of making as almost a weathering process. My soda kiln creates its own climate. The firing is a series of interventions each leaving a distinctive mark on the form or surface of the individual pieces. This group of work demonstrates a wide range of scale. Slender vases for a single stem, carved seed vessels and tiny sipping cups. From vessels to hold and use, to one of the largest pieces I have made so far.
