HIGH SUMMER COLLECTION 2026
I am pleased to invite you to preview my new online exhibition. The High Summer Collection is Going Live on Friday 28th August at 7 pm UK time.
This is the first collection of the year. Formed slowly, finished and fired during the blazing hot summer months. As August comes to fruition, the High Summer pieces are drawn with marks describing a sense of intense light, energy and growth. Textural and surface colour wrap around the natural shape of the forms. The physical process of applying porcelain slip with layering, splashing and brushing playfully is reminiscent of long grasses, lichen, worn and weathered wood and stone.
My pots always respond to and reflect the differences of the changing seasons. They can be practical changes to process and technique where unpredictable conditions in the studio can in turn influence the mood and nature of the work.
All the pieces will be available to purchase on Friday 28th August at 7 pm. I hope you enjoy the new collection.
