The Summer Firing went live on Friday 11th August at 7pm UK time. I wanted to share with you some of the summer forms from my recent firings with vibrant copper blues and warm rich russet tones. I added a small, selected group to the online gallery for this exhibition in August.

The summer months drift by so quickly. I am always aware that I depend on this time of year to fire many of the larger exhibition pieces that have been slowly drying in the studio. I have been working with the new soda kiln, learning her idiosyncrasies and producing some bright summer colours and surfaces.

Over time I have built and rebuilt this kiln design six times and each one has had its own distinct individual character. I hope you enjoyed the exhibition.
