WINTER COLLECTION GOING LIVE

Saturday 26th November 7pm UK time

Preview online Friday 25th November 6pm

I am pleased to invite you to my Winter Collection 2022. It is also a celebration of a very significant 100th firing and marks the end of an era. After ten years trusty service this will be the last firing for my soda kiln at Newlyn. For me the kiln is a practical tool but the Winter Vessels in this collection reflect the subtle relationship I have built up over time to create work of complexity and depth. It is sad to see it go but my new kiln is almost finished. More about this next time!

I began making for this online exhibition at the end of Summer and the work has been fired between the storms as the dark months settle in. The Winter Vessels have evolved into softer more gentle forms. They have a rich sultry palette with flashes of lemon and turquoise glowing through. Some of the surfaces are lightly drawn or carved, accentuated with linear marks and ridges highlighted by the flame and soda in the kiln. Alongside this selection of exhibition pieces are groupings of familiar vessel forms and a family of small blue cups made specially for this Winter Collection.

For the first time you will be able to view the work online 24 hours before the collection goes live. Follow the link on my website from Friday at 6pm. The preview will close at 6pm on Saturday 26th November and will go live at 7pm when all the work will be available to purchase, including signed copies of my limited-edition book, Living Space.

We are pleased to offer free postage within the UK for all your online purchases.  We are also happy to ship internationally and will contact you to arrange a bespoke delivery service. For any enquiries, please contact me jack@dohertyporcelain.com.

I hope that you enjoy my Winter Collection.
