The Spring Online Collection went live on Saturday 1st May 2021 at 2pm. I selected the groups of work from the last of the firings for the Spring Collection.

It had taken three months to build up this group of vessels and included familiar and new forms from small pods to larger conical vessels and individual pieces. Every firing I experiment a little with the kiln, making small changes to the kiln atmosphere or temperature, focussing on a particular range of colour.

Sometimes using an oxidizing atmosphere to produce a vibrant lift of colour from my signature blue, russet and lemon palette or alternating with a heavy reduction cycle to make the smokey greys and dark charcoal surfaces. Many of these news pieces have drawn and textured surfaces and carved interiors. With the reflective quality of porcelain, they catch the light and shimmer in the sun on my windowsill.

We are also excited about opening our new Trinity House Studio and exhibition space this month as we welcome our first visitors. Currently this is by appointment only. If you are planning a trip to Cornwall please do call or email to arrange a visit. Alongside a curated selection of my porcelain exhibition pieces we will have a range of soda-fired Tableware available to buy.

Later in the summer we are planning a series of mini online exhibitions focusing on “pots with a purpose” for example drinking vessels or pots for flowers.

I hope you enjoyed my new online collection.
